Provides cryptographic proof that an AI agent actually completed its assigned task correctly and securely before any funds or subsequent actions are released. Why It Matters Historically, AI agents were stuck in closed, proprietary ecosystems (walled gardens). ERC-8004 allows for an open "AgentFi" (Agent Finance) economy. For example, a travel-booking AI can autonomously discover a highly-rated currency-exchange AI, verify its reputation on the blockchain, and automatically pay it for its services using crypto micro-transactions.
